Revealing

     Poet and Interpreter. Creation and understanding. Juxtaposed, related, intimated. Read. And know. There is always a moment, as Gadamer describes, where - the sign - the poem or word resonates. The poet and the interpreter are set to work. Complimenting each other in a dance. The laden meaning becomes resonant, and we grow. Past and present possibilities, we all have this inside of us a a basic creative force. A Nietzschean force/fire. An open door to infinite possibilities. All of this wrapped up in the poet and interpreter - in the Art.

     Consideration: of all the things that happen to us in this life, what we see and feel, only a small amount of it is under our control. We are mixed together, using our faculties to "make sense of "what it is to be human"". Gadamer's position is that the only way to do this genuinely is to open oursleves up to art - to let feel, to let happen, and to go where it guides us. He states that our intention is a small amount of this - that living is not a deliberate act, but partrlty intending where we go, also being led. By the art. 

      There is Power in Composition. Extracting what we can from the Void - from the Abyss. From where does it come? This is the task of art - communicating where and what comes from the Void - some call this "fate". Living on the edge. On the precipice between what is and what is not. What we discover on the edge is what we call art, and how we communicate it draws more out from the abyss for others.

     Expression, emotion, fear, love, hate, confusion, intelect.

          Poetry

     Emotion carries weight. Deciphering this is the job of the New Artist. "As human beings, we are essensially caught up in an attempt to interpret the meaning of this ambiguity" (p71). Discovering this New Art. We discover ourselves. Over and over again - Anew. 

     Use everything available to you to comprehend the moment. The art is in the digging. Revealing. Discovering. There is always more. TRIGGER AND RUN. My brain is Gum.

     Slip. Reveal

     The sign operates on the boundary of perception. Interpretation of the self in the art-work is a necessary component of interpretation of understanding the art-work. 

     "Is it the case that in this meaning and this saying. Something is intimated but not "intended"?" (p71)

     The art-work is real. It is not only a creation, an activity, but it is a natural reaction of human existence. To live is to create. To create is to make art. To live is to understand what that art is saying to us. To create art and to allow it to take us in the direction it wants (the symbol), is an adventure, and one we cannot deny.

     - We must listen-

     The act of interpretation - the existence it conveys, is an ultimate fulfillment, an embracing of life itself. The art-work, if one is to live, must be embraced, accepted and loved with ones being. For when we invest love in the art-work - we invest love in ourselves, and love in everyone else. This is translated in the "symbol", in the "festival", in "play". This adds the poetic element to any allogary. It also adds (intenion) meaning to language (intention) . Deepening the value of the symbol. Adding to the extra dimension in speech.
