The sign operates on the boundary of perception. Interpretation of the self in the art-work is a necessary component of interpretation of understanding the art-work. 

     "Is it the case that in this meaning and this saying. Something is intimated but not "intended"?" (p71)

     The art-work is real. It is not only a creation, an activity, but it is a natural reaction of human existence. To live is to create. To create is to make art. To live is to understand what that art is saying to us. To create art and to allow it to take us in the direction it wants (the symbol), is an adventure, and one we cannot deny.

     - We must listen-

     The act of interpretation - the existence it conveys, is an ultimate fulfillment, an embracing of life itself. The art-work, if one is to live, must be embraced, accepted and loved with ones being. For when we invest love in the art-work - we invest love in ourselves, and love in everyone else. This is translated in the "symbol", in the "festival", in "play". This adds the poetic element to any allogary. It also adds (intenion) meaning to language (intention) . Deepening the value of the symbol. Adding to the extra dimension in speech.
